With the rapid increase in urban development, the employment opportunities in villages are depreciating dangerously. The agricultural activities are getting affected because of various factors like climate change, govt. policies etc. The educational scenario is also quite weak in rural areas. A vast majority of the rural population are migrating to the urban areas to create a sustainable livelihood. Amidst all this, the help provided by CybageAsha to the rural population is commendable. The continuous attempts to help villagers are definitely paying off and we are sure that this will surely help the villagers to be self-sufficient.

We are proud to announce that Udachiwadi village, Purandar taluka, has received the first prize in Maharashtra for the ‘Satyamev Jayate Water Cup Contest 2019’. The credit for this goes to all of us. The prize consists of a water cup, a certificate, and Rs. 10 lakhs in cash. This award from the Paani Foundation is the third instance when Udachiwadi water conservation efforts have been acknowledged. The first time we won an award was when CybageAsha constructed a watershed in our village. The second and most valuable prize was when CybageAsha decided to adopt our village permanently. Today, all of Maharashtra is indebted to the Paani Foundation. Without its water conservation initiatives, thousands of villages would have remained dry after the rains. Without help from CybageAsha, it would have been difficult to construct the CCTs, check dams, and farm ponds. We thank CybageAsha for its support and assistance. Udachiwadi will remain grateful to you. Even though this year's competition is over, we will keep working for the betterment of our village. We expect the same love and cooperation from CybageAsha in the future. - All the Udachiwadi villagers!

I feel fortunate to have been a volunteer at CybageAsha for past 6 years. It has given me a number of opportunities to carry out my responsibility towards society. I have enjoyed working as a teacher, guide, instructor, Santa, and so on. The activity at Anandvan Vyasanmukti Kendra was a different, memorable, and challenging one. I had to take a drug addict from Ambedkar community to the center. Due to the man's behaviour I was initially very scared, but my colleague assisted me and finally the addict was admitted to the center for 8 days. I could see his family's happiness. Our efforts helped in transforming his life from a drug addict to a normal one.

Community Co-ordinator CybageAsha

I have been a community leader in Ambedkar Nagar for over 3 years now and have worked with CybageAsha on a number of projects. Seeing a company of this magnitude care for us and our needs like a family warms my heart. Cybage Asha has catered to all age groups to provide sanitation, good health, skills, literacy and recreation. They have truly used an approach that allows us a chance at holistic development. Their efforts towards women’s empowerment have especially helped me and various other women build confidence. I will always be thankful for this ray of hope.

I thank CybageAsha for their focus on rural upliftment. After nominating my village (Dinnapur – Marathwada region) for the village adoption initiative, CybageAsha immediately visited my village and initiated the river deepening project. This project helped in eradicating the drought-like situation in my village. Such projects impact the lives of many. CybageAsha’s dedicated CSR team connects with the villagers with their onsite visits and also virtually with the growing number of smart phone users. Apart from this, I conduct the art club in iTeach schools (funded by CybageAsha). I like the way the CSR team plans these activities and helps the volunteers in managing these clubs successfully. They encourage volunteers by felicitating them from time to time.

Founder and Chairman Anandvan De-addiction Center

Since its inception on August 15, 2009, Anandvan De-addiction Center has been working tirelessly for victims of drug abuse. Our association with CybageAsha goes back to more than a year. With their support, we conducted two 10-day residential de-addiction camps for addicts from low-income groups—one in April and one in August 2016. Twenty-five addicts benefited from these free camps. CybageAsha also helped us financially by providing Diwali donations for 2015–16. With their help, we have started family counseling and addiction counseling meetings at Ambedkar Nagar on Nagar Road. We are grateful to CybageAsha and its volunteers for their unrelenting support through donations, pamphlet distribution, and street plays. Together, we hope to reach out to more needy people and rescue families from the clutches of addiction.

Painter Khulewadi

I was an alcoholic for 15 years before my life took a turn for the better in 2009. That was when CybageAsha started its de-addiction center in my community, Khulewadi. I started visiting their weekly OPD every Sunday and within a year, I had quit alcohol completely. This was not easy but was made possible with the help of the counselling sessions. CybageAsha felicitated me in front of my community, in which I was known only as a drunkard who beats up his wife and children. The week after that, I was appointed as ‘community coordinator’ to help other alcoholics break the vicious cycle of addiction. In the last five years, I have helped reform about 25 addicts. Now, I earn a decent living and support my family. My transformation was possible only because of CybageAsha. I thank CybageAsha for making me the agent of change for other addicts.

CybageAsha has created a ray of hope working in their special way to spread smiles and make a difference to society. I am Anil Chachar, Headmaster of Zila Parishad Primary School, Hanumanvasti in Velhe. I had been trying to build a compound wall for the school since 2011. As per the RTE rules, we had all the facilities except the compound wall. CybageAsha helped us construct the compound wall and now, the school premises look beautiful and environment-friendly. The school has a total of 34 students, out of which 26 students hail from tribal communities. CybageAsha dreams to walk the unknown in terms of the skills to help, teach, and educate for a better future. We aim to continue working with CybageAsha for the education of underprivileged students.

Villager Bhatkudgaon

I, Prakash Mohanrao Vadane Patil, belong to Bhatkudgaon village in Ahmednagar district, Shevgaon taluka, where CybageAsha has helped construct a hygienic drainage system. My fellow villagers and I came to know about CybageAsha when my younger brother, Sanjay Vadane, joined Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd. in Pune. My brother had praised CybageAsha a lot and explained how it works for the welfare of a number of villages and aids their sustainable development. When the CybageAsha team came to our village to set up the drainage system, I realized how right he was. All the members of CybageAsha, especially, CSR executives were very kind, helpful, and transparent in their CSR activities. My fellow villagers and I are extremely thankful to CybageAsha for their benefaction.

“Cochlea Pune is overwhelmed by CybageAsha’s support for its rural initiatives. The support has enabled us to add Manchar village of Ambegaon taluka under our umbrella. CybageAsha has also helped us with a school van, hearing aids, and school uniforms for children. This gesture has provided children from rural areas such as Khed taluka and Dapoli access to formal education. We look forward to their continual support in the long run.”
