In its bid to better the conditions of those living in their adopted communities, CybageAsha extends its support to ‘Sevadham old age home’ located in Sinhgad, Pune. This includes not just providing them facilities that will promote good health and sustainable living but also looking after their mental well-being. Ever since the outbreak of the pandemic, visits to the old age home and its regular activities had not taken place.
Accompanied by three volunteers, the CyabgeAsha team visited the home on June 12, 2020. The team had a warm interaction with the residents, which was followed by planting vegetable seeds, such as ladies’ finger, a variety of beans, and pumpkin in their premises. In this visit, we stocked their kitchen pantry with grains for one month and took them a fair supply of mangoes.
CybageAsha has been supporting Sevadham old age home for more than 5 years now. With the help of volunteers, a lot of infrastructural facilities have been taken care of, for example, renovation of the lawn, repairs of windows and doors, drainage line repairs, and drinking water facility among others.
