As COVID-19 tightened its clutches, many were left with a limited stock of food and money. The worst affected during this crisis were people who lost their meagre sources of income due to the nation-wide lockdown. CybageAsha stepped up to lend a hand during this crisis and provided them with essential supplies. The pandemic had already starved scores of people, and there was not enough for everyone. To help people survive through the crisis, CybageAsha supplied 400 grocery kits to the residents of the leprosy colony in Antulay Nagar in the Kondhwa area of Pune with the help of five Cybage volunteers. There are about 400 families from the low-income group living in this colony. Some of them live alone and some live with their families. In the current situation, as their daily needs are not being met, CybageAsha provided them with a month’s worth of grocery supplies that comprised cereals, pulses, rice, spices, salt, and sugar.
It is another humble effort of CybageAsha to keep supporting communities during times of such calamities and keep them motivated to stride ahead.
