CybageAsha signs MoU with BAIF

CybageAsha signed a Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU) with BAIF Institute for Sustainable Livelihoods and Development (BISLD) at the Cybage Headquarters in Pune on August 8, 2017. The aim of this MoU is to enable CybageAsha to reach out to more beneficiaries.

Ritu Nathani, Managing Trustee–Cybage CSR, signed this MoU with Mr. Girish. G. Sohani, Managing Director, BISLD.

The three-year association with BAIF will be in the form of a private-public partnership to develop 11 villages of two clusters, Bhor and Velhe talukas of Pune district. This move is expected to benefit more than 1,500 farmers and youth. CybageAsha donated Rs. 3,36,46,030.00, which will be utilized in the core programs of BAIF such as livestock development, natural resource management, tree-based farming systems. They will also be used for programs on healthcare and women empowerment, among others.

These projects are expected to provide sustainable livelihood to the people of Bhor and Velhe. The diversification into farm and non-farm activities and local agriculture-linked enterprises will be instrumental in the development of these regions.
