CybageAsha in a bid to contribute towards women’s empowerment, conducted an exposure visit for women of self-help groups (SHG) from Moroshi and Shirgaon villages on 4th February 2021 to various places in Pune.
The group visited Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya to get more insight on the work and various opportunities for selling the products they manufacture. The group visited Cybage premises and interacted with Misha Nathani, Hemali - Sr. Manager HRD, Dipti from Training Dept., and Lalkar - Technical Evangelist. The women narrated their journey from SHG members to entrepreneurs and received words of appreciation and motivation from the Cybage officials.
The CybageAsha team accompanied the group to the market where they got information about suppliers of raw materials. It was indeed a busy day for all the women wherein they received valuable information and business tips. Such activities will help them become independent. Cybagians happily purchased 50 boxes of incense sticks and dozens of candles to support the SHG. The group was overwhelmed by the courtesy and warmth shown by the Cybagians.
CybageAsha recently started working in Moroshi village in Khed taluka of Pune district. Apart from infrastructure development, livelihood initiatives are the focus of these programs.
