CybageAsha hosted a meeting with the CRPs (Community Resource Persons) from Bhor and Velhe talukas of Pune. Ritu Nathani, Director, Cybage & Head-Cybage CSR, and Dr. Pradip Khose, Joint Executive Chief, BAIF presided over the function.
The CRPs briefed the guests about the development in agriculture, livestock, watershed development, new farming techniques, floriculture, optimum utilization of water through drip irrigation, mulching, solar lift irrigation, and group wells. They also presented a plan of action for the next year.
On average, every farmer earns about 30-35k from the demo plots and many other farmers have replicated the techniques by seeing its benefit.
Ritu Nathani interacted with the farmers and said, "I am glad to hear from you that our cluster development program is helping farmers increase production and their income level. It’s good that farmers are adopting modern agriculture techniques to ensure better livelihood. I would like to see reverse migration from cities to villages.”
