
On June 23, 2019, CybageAsha along with a team from H.V. Desai Eye hospital, Pune organized an eye check-up camp for the residents of Sanjay Park, one of the adopted communities of CybageAsha. The residents of the community belong to the economically underprivileged background, often facing financial restrain to get optical check-ups and necessary aids.
The objective behind this initiative is to provide proper consultation, check-up and help to eliminate preventable blindness. As a part of the program, the residents were screened for eye issues and based on the diagnosis were referred to the required treatment.
The health camp that started at 11 PM saw an overwhelming participation from 154 beneficiaries from the community. CybageAsha volunteers aided the entire setup along with the medical team. During the check-up, residents were briefed about their eye issues and were provided necessary aids. Ten residents were identified with cataract, while 53 residents were given spectacles for their eye issues. For the referrals of the cataract patients, CybageAsha will support the patients for their surgeries with the help of H. V. Desai Eye Hospital.
