CybageAsha conducts residential de-addiction camp at Anadvan
15/09/2016:

If you have ever come across a drug addict, then you understand the intense power of drug abuse; and the dangers of dependence on an external substance, and comprehend the difficulty of the ‘recovery road’. The goal of a de-addiction camp is to help addicts recover, get employment, and lead a normal life.

CybageAsha, in association with Anandvan Residential De-addiction Center, conducted a 10-day free residential de-addiction camp on the Center’s premises. More than 12 alcoholics benefitted from this camp. Out of the 12 participants, six were from communities where CybageAsha is running its de-addiction centers. This is the second time CybageAsha has conducted a residential de-addiction camp with Anandvan. CybageAsha’s first camp in association with the Anandvan Residential De-addiction Center was organized in April 2016.

CybageAsha’s intention of organizing this event was to reach out to those addicts who could not otherwise afford the services of the residential camp. This 10-day camp included medical treatment, meditation, family counselling, interactive sessions, and other activities to help addicts recover. In the concluding ceremony on August 25, Shripad Inamdar, our chief guest and finance controller, addressed the recovering addicts.
